Windows 10: Windows store does not let me choose where I am able to download my apps

I have been having the same problem for the past couple of days, I am not able to change where microsoft store saves my apps.


My C: drive is full and when I go to change where new content is stored I get an error message every single time.


Here are the things I have tried

1. Changing the name of Windowsapp
2. going in to cmd and inputting something like incacls D:/ ......
3. gone in to safe mode to try and delete the file in the D: drive
4. and straight out trying to choose where to download the file, I dont know why did is an option if it does not work.

This is what I see and I have not been able to figure out what to do, I am using an admin user so i do not know what is going on.

Windows 10 Apps from the store wont download

Sorry for the delay in response.

• Do you face this issue only with these apps?
• Did you try downloading other apps?
• Did you try stopping these apps and then downloading it again?

We would suggest you to try the steps mentioned in the link

• Type troubleshooting in the search
  box and hit Enter.
• Click View all from the left pane and select Windows store apps.
• Follow the on-screen instructions and check.

If the steps don't work try these steps:

Try to reset the Windows store and check.

• Press Win + R on the keyboard to open run Window.
• Type wsreset.exe to reset the Windows store cache.
