Windows 10: Windows Store download times being unbelievably slow.

I’m trying to download sea of thieves and everything is fine and then the number of how much I have downloaded just stops, it doesn’t tell me how fast it is downloading anymore, but it still says it’s downloading. I had enough of that and restarted the download to see that it occasionally runs at less than one mbs. I know my internet isn’t the problem because everything else downloads fine like on steam. I’ve reset the store, checked for updates, signed in and out, and have troubleshooted. Like I said it downloads fine and then in certain areas it’ll stop, I thought it was just stopping and not continuing but now I think it’s appearing to stop because of its slowness.

Downloading is Slow from Store.

From the description, I understand that Windows store downloads slowly.

Step 1:

I suggest you to clear Windows Store cache and check if it helps.

Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows logo key + R.
• Type wsreset.exe on Run window and press enter.
• Check if issue persists.

You may try the following steps and check:



Step 2:

Try to run the sfc scan and check if the Windows store downloads faster:

Run a System File Checker (SFC) scan to check for any file corruption.
SFC scan will scan for corrupt system files on the computer and repair them.

• Press Windows key + X, click
  Command Prompt (Admin).
• In the Command Prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
  
  sfc /scannow

I just downloaded windows 10 and find it unbelievably slow. While it may be in test/programmer mode, it does not speak well of your QA staff. How do I get back to Windows 8.1?

• The latest update I have showing is "2018-02 Cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64 based system KB4074588"
• I've tried all the below steps suggested by Eeshwar Kumar in this link: Why is Windows Store's download speed so slow?
