Windows 10: Windows store games unable to be used

i recently did a fresh instal of windows, and all of my windows store games are in windows.old windowsapps folder. i am neither able to move them or run them as i do not have permissions to do either. how can i move them without them telling me i need the permissions to do so?

Unable to reinstall game from Windows store

This issue may occur due to corrupt Windows store cache.

I suggest you to follow the methods below:

Method 1

I would suggest you to reset Windows store cache
and check. Please follow these steps:

a. Press Windows + R keys to open run
window.

b. Type the following command in run and press Enter.

wsreset.exe

Method 2

I suggest you to run the Windows store app troubleshooter and check if it helps:

1. Type control panel in the search box.

2. Click on troubleshooting in the control panel.

3. Click view all.

4. Click Windows store apps.

5. Follow on screen instruction.

Method 3

Make sure that “Allow apps to use my location” option is enabled. Follow these steps to enable it.

• Press the “Windows + W”.
  
• Then type “Allow apps to use my location” without quotes in the search box and hit ENTER.
  
• Turn on “Allow apps to use my location”.
  
• Then turn on “Let apps use my location” option.

Unable to download games using app store

I would appreciate, if you can provide us the following information to help us understand the issue better?

• Do you get any error message/ error code while downloading the games from Windows Store?

You can check the location mentioned below for the downloaded games:

C:\Users\{User Name}\Downloads

If you do not see this game in downloads, I would suggest you to follow the methods given below and check.

Method 1: Run the SFC.

Follow the below steps:

• Open Command Prompt and select “Run as Administrator”.
• Type “sfc /scannow” without quotes and hit
  Enter.

Now check for the issue. If issue still persists try method 2,



Method 2: Try repairing the store and check if it helps:

1. Press WinKEY + X or put the mouse in the lower left corner

2. Open the Command Prompt (Run as Administrator)

3. Type in WSReset.exe and hit
enter.



If issue didn't get resolve try method 3,

Method 3:

Follow the below steps:

•Open Powershell as administrator

•Run the command

Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
