Windows 10: Windows Store missing after doing in-place upgrade from 8.1 to 10

Not sure why this happened, but I did an inplace-upgrade using the .iso created from the Media Tool Creator. When i checked apps on Windows 10, none of my Windows apps where there. I logged into another account and there was also no Windows apps. Is there a reason why this happened?

I can't activate Windows 10 after upgrading from 8.1

After I upgraded from Windows 10 Pro from 8.1 Pro, my copy deactivated. I got an error code when trying to activate it, 0xC004F034. The description said the license was missing or was invalid. I upgraded from a genuine Windows 8.1 Pro copy and there was
no Go To Store option for upgrading. I checked on what to do and it said to contact your organization's support person, but I'm not in a organization whatsoever.

 

Can I skip Windows 8.1 Pro Repair (Store Apps don't work) and upgrade to Windows 10 when available

After upgrading from Windows 8 to 8.1 the Store apps worked for a period of time and now do not. I've tried WSreset, scannow (which found a missing file, ... with no luck. It appears that I have to run a REPAIR. Everything else works through the desktop
interface. Can I skip the REPAIR of 8.1 and go straight to 10 when available.

 

When you started the ISO, did you tell it to save all apps and files?

 

If you told it to save all apps and settings, it should have done that. There are 2 separate boxes that need to be checked.

I have upgraded 3 computers so far, 2 using the GWX upgrade method, and 1 using the media creation tool to create an ISO. All three of them upgraded with applications and settings in place. I can't imagine why your apps would be missing if you checked the box to keep them. I have not heard of anyone else having this problem. Sorry I can't be of more help.

 

Fixed! I re-registered the Windows apps

 

How did you do that? Please post the steps, in case I run in to this problem - I have many more computers to upgrade. Thanks.
