Windows 10: Windows Store Sign In won't let me input full PIN, it stops at 4 digits.

I'm trying to log in to the windows store on my fiances computer with my microsoft account. After the mobile authentication, it asks me for my account PIN. When I try to enter the PIN that is 8 digits long, it tries to sign me in after the 4th digit, causing the PIN to be incorrect. It won't give me any other options to sign in and the minimum PIN length is 6, so I don't know what to do.

As I understand, you do not have the option to sign in using a Pin.

To clarify the scenario here, please help me with the following questions:

• Were you able to sign in using a Pin earlier?
• If yes, did you make any changes to the computer prior to this issue?

I suggest you to try creating a new Pin and check if it helps.

• Press Windows Key + C, to open the Charms bar.
• Click on PC settings.
• In Windows 8 or Windows RT, click/tap on Users on the left pane.
• In Windows 8.1 or Windows RT 8.1, click/tap on Accounts on the left pane.
• Click/tap on Sign-in options on the left pane.
• Click/tap on Create a PIN (Windows 8) or Add (Windows 8.1).
  
  NOTE: You must already have created a password for your user account first to be able to create a pin.
• Enter your current password to verify your account info, and click/tap on
  OK or press Enter.
• Enter in your 4-digit PIN that you want, click/tap on
  Finish.

Check if you are able to sign in with a Pin now.

I understand that you are facing issues with create a 4-dgiti pin to log-in to the device. We will help you with this issue.

• Do let us know what exactly happens when you try to access the 4-digit PIN on your device?
• What is the complete error message/ error code of this issue?

If you are not comfort to enter long letters of password, you
may also create the 4 digit PIN which will reduce your time to enter full password.

Follow the below steps.

• Press Windows + I keys to open
  settings menu.
• Click on Accounts.
• Click on Sign in options.
• Click on Add under PIN.
• Follow the onscreen instructions to create Pin.
• Sign out and try to sign in again using PIN as your Sign in option.

NOTE: Make sure that your device is connected to internet connection.
