Windows 10: Windows Store - Single app does not update anymore

I have some troubles with an App in the Microsoft store, which does not update properly. I know, that this can be a common issue and there are dozens of fixes available in the internet, but none of those worked for me. I have no more ideas how to fix it and I really need this update, so hopefully you can help me.

Here is my Issue:

Some weeks ago the App Drawboard PDF has released an update to version 5.8.190 which features fixes I need for my workflow. However, on my device the highest version ever installed is 5.8.40.

• Of course I tried hitting the update button on the Microsoft store. But no updates for this app were found.
• I updated my laptop to the latest windows and tried again, but still, no updates.
• I tried a reinstallation of the app, but afterwards the version is still 5.8.40
• I reseted the Microsoft store via the wsreset command. But no new updates were found afterwards.
• I logged in with another Microsoft account in the store and purchased the app again, but the version installed was 5.8.40 also
• I reinstalled windows on the laptop (the clean one, with no data retained), but after installation of the Drawboard App, the version was still 5.8.40
• I contacted the development team of the app, but they could not help me either.

Please note that I was able to install the updated version on an other device (not mine), so the update does exist and it is available in my country.

Windows Store Apps Not Updating

I have recently encountered a problem with the updates on the Windows Store. The apps are not updating anymore and are stuck. I have tried to follow most of the methods provided online including the troubleshoot step but to no avail. The troubleshoot simply couldn't find any issues to solve. Windows Update on the other hand, is working fine. Here's a screenshot of the progress.

 

Windows Store not updating existing apps

We may need to resolve the Windows Update error first, so that you can update the apps on the
Windows Store. Let's refer to this article. Here are the suggested steps to follow:

• Choose the version of your Windows (Windows 10).
• Select No under Step 2 (Run the Windows Update troubleshooter).
• Download the most recent KB. If you have done this step, click
  No to proceed to Step 4.
• Run the DISM command. Follow the steps that will be provided.
