Windows 10: Windows Store will not launch

I feel like I have been dealing with Windows Store errors my whole life. I received an error code trying to update apps that is associated with group policy. So I reset all my group policy. That did not work. I then tried wsreset.exe, no luck. Then it told me the Store app was blocked by my administrator, but I got that to stop. Then I went to Store's app settings and used Reset. That killed it. My other UWP apps work, but the Microsoft Store icon does nothing. It is re-registered in Appx with PowerShell and it lists as installed. Microsoft really needs to find a way to better implement the ab

• Are you getting any error message?
  
• Since when are you facing this issue?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made on the computer recently?

Windows Store Issue - Cannot launch

Hi Zac,

To be able to troubleshoot your concern with launching the Windows Store, kindly try the methods provided below and let us know if the issue persists:

Method 1: Run the Windows store app troubleshooter

• Type in Troubleshooting in the search bar.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on Windows Store app.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

Method 2: Create a new user

If the issue still persists, we suggest that you create a new user account with administrator privileges and check if the issue is resolved.

The corrupted user profile does not function normally such as not launching Start menu, Cortana, Search bar, Store and other Windows applications. In such cases creating a new profile and checking for the same will help in identifying if the issue is
