Windows 10: Windows Store

Installed preview 10147 and having trouble dowloading from Windows Store.

Anything I try I get "Something happened in our end" "Try again later"

Tried both Pro and Home versions (x86)

Stuck at Airplane mode, cannot find wireless networks after upgrading to Windows 10.

Since 10147 is a leaked build, it could be that things haven't been set up as they should be yet. There are more evil guesses, but I'll leave those for someone else. *Smile

Have you tried downloading from Store (beta)?

 

Are you logged into your MS account?? Just wondering.. With build 10147 I didn't have an issue with the store.

Starts downloading. Acquiring licence. Then stops.

The most evil guess is that you got something that Gramma's lye soap won't take off.

When downloading leaked builds, we have to be very, very careful of where we get them. It's not unknown for hackers to grab a perfectly good leaked build and put something in it that will cause it not to work, then put it out there for unsuspecting people to download.

I've never seen Windows 10 say "acquiring license", but that doesn't mean it's not there. But the fact that you're getting that error bothered me so much I tried to look it up. I found the following:

So, it looks to me that maybe whoever put the download up didn't do it right.

Did you check if your 10147 is activated? There are activation issues with this build.

You misunderstood. You asked me to elaborate and I told you what can happen when installing a leaked build . . . you can get something Gramma's lye soap can't take off. And that's exactly why I didn't elaborate in the first place.
