    Windows stuck at Preparing Automatic Repair


    Hello,I have Windows 10 Home on a Lenovo laptop. Yesterday, it started to stuck on "Preparing for Automatic Repair". So I thought It will repair something and the windows will begin again. But it just shows the same screen over and over again. So far I have tried the following things,I clicked reset this PC with both options including "keep my files" and "remove files". And also other options inside that "local install" and "CDN install". but in all options, it says "Sorry operation failed. No changes applied".Then I tried to restore Windows from the recovery point, So I have two recovery poin

    Preparing Automatic Repair

    My son's Lenovo Ideapad 110-15ACL has been stuck on "Preparing Automatic Repair" for over a week now. I can't followed any steps listed for remedying it because the computer doesn't respond to any instructions, like holding F8 or even booting from a USB, at all. Has anyone ideas or it's time to discard this 5-year old laptop?

    Windows stuck in preparing automatic repair

    Hello

    My Lenovo laptop has the dreaded stuck in preparing automatic repair loop

    It doesn't get past this.

    I have tried holding the power key 3 times but windows repair never starts.

    I have tried with a USB installation but I get the windows symbol which go's off to a black screen, then nothing.

    Can anyone suggest anything else?

    I read through numerous forum issues with the same problem and nothing seems to work for me.

    This issue can be caused by system files corruption.

    • On which version of Windows 10 is your device running?
    • Are you getting any error messages?
    • Do you have an installation media for Windows 10 (DVD or USB)?
