Windows 10: Windows stuck on preparing automatic repair

My windows started acting up after it installed some update, it shut down and a pop up saying that I'm logged into a temporary profile I must sign out and try to log into my account, I tried to that and it didn't work, I found my profile number ending with ".bak" I searched for a solution, which is to delete the other profile and rename the one with ".bak", when I turned it on this time, my screen was black with a flickering white screen, searched for a solution again and nothing worked, till today when I tried to turn my laptop on, I got stuck on a "preparing automatic windows Repair" I tried

Preparing Automatic Repair

My son's Lenovo Ideapad 110-15ACL has been stuck on "Preparing Automatic Repair" for over a week now. I can't followed any steps listed for remedying it because the computer doesn't respond to any instructions, like holding F8 or even booting from a USB, at all. Has anyone ideas or it's time to discard this 5-year old laptop?

My Lenovo laptop has the dreaded stuck in preparing automatic repair loop

It doesn't get past this.

I have tried holding the power key 3 times but windows repair never starts.

I have tried with a USB installation but I get the windows symbol which go's off to a black screen, then nothing.

Can anyone suggest anything else?

I read through numerous forum issues with the same problem and nothing seems to work for me.

• Are you getting any error messages?
• Do you have an installation media for Windows 10 (DVD or USB)?
