Windows 10: Windows Studio Effects options not avaliable on the Camera APP

Hi Good Day.I got question need your help.I have MTL-H platform with NPU + MEP driver installed, OS version 24H2, 26100.1, Camera V2024.2405.19.0.The MEP function is functional in the Setting => Bluetooth&Device => Camera.Execute the OS camera, there is Studio Effect on the top right with "Video" feature, but there is no Studio Effect with "Photo" feature.Does Studio Effect only support on Video feature? If not, how to make Studio Effect enable on the Photo feature?Doe you have related document for sharing?Thanks for the help.

I understand that you use screenshots to overlay the camera's operation, as protecting private information is very important.

From the screenshot information you provided, I noticed that your Lenovo laptop seems to support Windows Studio, otherwise you wouldn't see these options. However, we have not received any feedback from other users recently on Windows Studio usage issues, and we have tested this issue in our test equipment, but everything is fine, so this does not appear to be a functional failure.

In your screenshot, I notice that you have the corresponding features turned on, but if they don't work, I think the most likely impact is the camera driver.

Right click on the Start menu - Device Manager on the taskbar, locate your camera driver, right click on it, and select "Update Driver".

If you see the message that the driver is the latest or no effect after the update, please click "Uninstall device", after the uninstallation, please click "Scan for hardware changes", your system will reinstall the camera driver, after the completion of this operation, reconfirm whether the Windows Studio effect can take effect.

If the problem persists, visit the Lenovo laptop manufacturer's website, download the camera driver for the device model, and then reinstall the driver, which may resolve the issue.

These are the solutions I think are more suitable, but it is not ruled out that there may be some incompatibility between this function and Lenovo notebook computers, so if the above solutions are not helpful, I recommend you to consult Lenovo's after-sales technical support, maybe this is a known problem for them, or they may have some targeted solutions.

Error 0xA00F4240(0x80070057) Camera App

In most of the cases the device drivers will be listed under its respective category in
Device manager. All the drivers of the devices attached to or mostly will be used on the PC will be listed under
Device manager. The device will not function if the driver of the respective device is not installed on the computer.



Check if the camera drivers are listed in Device manager by following the steps below:

• Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select
  Device manager from the context menu.
• Expand the option where WebCam drivers may be located and check if the drivers are present.
• If present, right click on the driver and select Update this software from the context menu.
• Follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the update to complete.
• After the update is complete, close the window and check if the changes are effective.
