    Windows submitted a password to itunes to encrypt backup. Which password might it have used?


    I backed up my iphone this morning. While I chose non-encrypted backup, itunes is now demanding a password to restore the phone using the backup. Apple suspect the computer itself inputted a password saved on it it isn't the first time apparently and suggested I ask if anyone at microsoft knows which password it might have used to help narrow down the search for the correct password. Has anyone here encountered a similar situation or have an idea how to help? I have already tried every password saved on the browser, the login pin for the admin account can't remember login pin to the other u

    I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    The Encryption in iTunes for iPhone backups is specific to that application and the password you used to encrypt that backup is not stored anywhere in Windows, not even in the registry.
