Windows 10: Windows Subsystem for Linux refuses to update

Whenever I come to see the Windows Console, I see a WSL update alongside other ones. When other updates are downloaded, they want me to restart the system. And this WSL update stays the same. > There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. Unable to enable Windows Subsystem for Linux

I understand that you have downloaded Linux Terminal from Microsoft Store and you are getting an error when running the PowerShell command. However, as per the article

Windows Subsystem for Linux Installation Guide for Windows 10 you need to run the PowerShell command first and then install the required Linux distribution from the store. I suggest you to try running the PowerShell command
first and check.

I switched to a local administrator account and enable the developer mode and the Windows feature s list refused to show Linux on Windows subsystem as an option.

I just updated my preview build to 14316 and attempted to enable the bash shell, I was unable to do so. I switched to a local administrator account and enable the developer mode and the Windows feature s list refused to show Linux on Windows subsystem
as an option. The only difference is I am running the preview image in VMware player virtual machine.
