    Windows suddenly showing hanging message while playing Fortnite.


    While playing Fortnite suddenly Windows showed "windows is hanging" and asked me to exit the game after exit still the windows UI is lagy and pointer is moving slowly with any actually moving it

    Windows Update suddenly hangs?

    Windows Update is suddenly hanging for some reason... I went and downloaded and installed the first bunch of updates, restarted when asked, and now when I go back to windows update I just get the window with a white box forever. Reboot and it still does it. This happens to be on my main machine, running windows 7.

    I've also noticed when I reboot it says configuring windows update, step 3 of 3, 47%. Maybe it somehow skipped something and is screwed forever?

    system suddenly power downs.. seems overheating issue while playing game.

    I apologize, that did sound crass. Some suggestions were clear while some contradicted suggestions by others, this in all probability made it difficult for the OP to make proper decisions.

    I try to make suggestions clear, simple and easy to understand, without too much information at one time, this tends to help people with computer problems think through each step, which has already happened regarding my first post [to the OP], he is already questioning a piece of software.
