    Windows Surface Pro X ARM - Windows 11 Pro - Installing VirtualBox


    VirtualBox www.virtualbox.org will not install on the ARM based Surface Pro X running Windows 11 Pro. Why is this? Windows 11 ARM supports 64bit applications so VirtualBox should run ok. Please advise.

    Surface Pro X ships with an ARM processor. Currently ARM processors support only 32-bit programs. You may check the responses here- the marked answer and the link given by Barb that explains the ARM architecture in detail.

    Does Windows 11 Pro work on a surface X Pro with the SQ2 processor?I

    Can I ask which version of Windows 11 pro you have and where did you get it? I bought one from Amazon to upgrade from Windows 11 and it decidedly doesn't work, stopping on a screen that invites me to fix or adjust certain things, (listed below, it says) but with nothing on the list as needing attention. It then will not proceed.

    You are referring to the Surface X Pro with the ARM processor, SQ2?

    Hi

    I'm a surface pro x(SQ1) user. Recently, my pro x still Windows 10 ARM. After a few updates patches, I still did not receive Windows 11 ARM updates. I would like to know what can I do to get the Windows 11? Thank you!
