I have windows 10 pro and have been having an issue with some of the core functions. I have downloaded apps (chrome, libreoffice, etc) to work around but am frustrated. When i open a program (edge) it just goes into constant load never works. When i try the search bar from the task bar it just loads never displays my searched options. When i go into settings to try to work out problem or reset computer settings will not load or takes extremly long tonload or shuts down entirely after prolonged wait. For example: i select settings icon, it openes to “windows settings”, i select “update and security” it takes extremly long to load sometimes closes, i try to select recovery it shuts down...

Its very frustrating because i cant even wipe my system and restore!!

I checked firewall settings and dont have any third party programming running.

Thank you for the response.

Here is how you can stop Microsoft Edge browser from showing you search suggestions in the address bar:

• Press the hotkey Win+R to open the Run dialog. Type
  gpedit.msc in the Run dialog and press Enter. This will open the Group Policy Editor.
• In the Group Policy Editor, expand Computer Configuration → Administrative Templates → Windows Components → Microsoft Edge
• Double-click on the Stop address bar from showing search suggestions setting in the right-side panel.
• In the settings window, select Disabled and then click OK.

That’s it. The settings apply as soon as you click on the OK button. Now if you open the Microsoft Edge web browser and try typing something in the address bar, then you won’t see any search suggestions. You can obviously revert the setting by following
exactly the same steps and choosing Not Configured or Enabled in the last step and saving the settings.

Pressed Windows +R. Typed in gpedit.msc - Windows cannot find "gpedit.msc" make sure you typed the name correctly then try again.

 

Trouble with search bar (won´t find data)

I Would suggest you follow the steps below and see if it helps:

Step 1: On the Search bar type “cmd”. Right Click on the Command Prompt option and select Run as Administrator. (If prompted for a password, type the password and click Allow)

Step 2: DISM TOOL

• Type Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
  and click Enter.
• Type Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
  and click Enter.
• Type Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  and click Enter.
