    Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is not acessable. Access is denied


    After running windows updater and downloading the latest optional cumulative update for Windows 10 version 1903 for x64 based systems KB4522355 I am kindly locked out of my admin account by the operating system, because it appears that I log in to Windows 10 via my local machine and not online using my Microsoft account.


    When I boot into safe mode the home page advises I am using Build 190318 - 1202.


    When I try to do a roll back in safe mode, recovery tells me that even though I installed the update less than 24 hours ago it claims there have been no updates for over 7 days.


    I can log into a user account no problems and have a complete desktop and access to installed programs from the same PC, but my main info that I utilize is on the Admin account.


    In the admin account I can access dos commands via Task Manager - file - run new task, but no other functionality


    Is there a way I can access my licensed Admin account that I keep updated religiously without having the pain of having to create a install USB to do a Windows restore?


    Even if I do restore will I be still be locked out of my machine if I prefer to locally log on as my machine isn't always connected to the net? The KB mentioned nothing about this as a known issue.


    Any help would be appreciated.

    C:Windows\system32\Config\systemprofile\Desktop is not accessible. Access is Denied.

    I got the above message ''C:Windows\system32\Config\systemprofile\Desktop is not accessible. Access is Denied.'' after the latest Windows update.

    Following advice for another question for similar troubles I tried to do the clean reboot but I cannot even do that. The start button doesn't work, right clicking and getting in any folder or in the system doesn't work.

    After the latest update, I now cannot login and keep getting the

    system32/config/systemprofile/Desktop is not accessible - Access is denied

    I have tried going back to a previous version by using the Start/Shift Key which allows me to get to the troubleshoot page - NOTHING WORKS

    I have no desktop - and a few icons are flashing down the bottom but take me nowhere.

    I have tried shutting down completely 4 times - nothing

    I have tried sfc/ scannow in command centre - doesn't work

    WHY??? Anyone, please?? This has bought our office to a grinding halt and we didn't do anything.

    If someone could help, I would be extremely grateful.
