Windows 10: \Windows\System32\GameInput.dll + XB controller not letting display sleep

For about a year now, \Windows\System32\GameInput.dll has been directly tied to either Windows 10 or Windows 11 deployments not letting screen timeout occur if I have either an XBox 1 controller or an XBox Core controller direct-USB connected to the computer. The 'least complicated' solution is to unplug the game controller and reboot the computer. You can't just unplug the controller, the system has to be rebooted to shake the screen no-timeout problem. It's not a very tenable solution because unplug/replug like that wears out the USB port faster. Not only that it's not a real solution, i

Gameinput Redestrutable

I recently got a new HP ENVY 13-aq0xxx Laptop,

but its been crashing a lot when i put it to sleep or leave it on. I've checked reliability monitor and right before the crash gameinput redistributable, Note this is a work and Not gaming laptop So what would be my next step?

Display will not sleep.

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Click on Start>Settings>System.
• In the left navigation pane, click on Power & sleep.
• In the right pane, select the time limit for the system to go to sleep from the drop down list.
