Windows 10: Windows task manager "Processes" tab is empty

Hi all!


From a month ago I find when open the Task Manager TM, it does not show any process in "Processes" tab.

If I start TM immediately after reboot/logon, it shows everything correctly, until I close and try to open again. Then the tab is empty.


I find a recommendations to create a new user profile and transfer the files and apps settings from the "old" one - this does not solve the problem!


Another suggestion says to change the regional settings to "English-US" - surprisingly, this works- my TM now shows all information

But... I have some apps that depends on my regional settings Bulgarian. Looking back, I use these settings configured to "Bulgarian" from so many years- from Windows NT4 era, till now. So, I can't change the regional settings to "English-US".


Another interesting thing is that this happens on machines that are installed from bare metal with 20H2 ISO of Windows 10. The same hardware machines, but installed with different ISO's 1409, 1903, and updated to 20H2 via Windows Update- they don't produced this problem.


How to deal with this problem- to use different regional settings not "English-US", and to have task manager works fine?

Actually, I like your suggestion as a first step.

Unchecking the wrong thing in Autoruns can brick a system.

 

The processes tab of task manager is blank

In recent months, the processes tab of task manager is blank, while all other tabs of task manager have no problem. The process tab is normal when you first open task manager after an OS-restart. But after you close task manager and open it a second time,
the process tab is blank and keeps blank all the time till next OS-start.

To troubleshoot the issue with your Task Manager, I suggest you to run the
System File Checker to check if there's a broken Windows component in your PC.

To run System File Checker, please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows + X keys.
• Click on Command Prompt (Admin).
• Copy and paste the command below:
  
  SFC /scannow
• Hit Enter to execute the command. It may take a few minutes to complete.
  
  If you find Verification 100% complete, click X to close the Command Prompt.
• Reboot the PC for the changes to take effect.
