Discus and support Windows taskbar keeps refreshing and file explorer won't stay open for more than a couple... in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging to solve the problem; This problem happened soon after I updated my windows but I already tried recovery from a previous date but it did not fix the issue....     This problem happened soon after I updated my windows but I already tried recovery from a previous date but it did not fix the issue.

    File Explorer Refreshes TaskBar

    I've tried your recommendation and sadly it hasn't worked.

    I am using a file explorer Shortcut in my taskbar. But I can't open it with Windows Key + E Either, it just refreshes my taskbar like before.

    I have added AVG and ever since I did things started to slow down and stuff got weird, like this for example. I have uninstalled it but I keep finding some leftover parts of AVG. It's not in Uninstall Programs and Features.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
