    Windows\Temp folder is accumulating log files file extension is*.log, not clearing.


    My C:\Windows\Temp folder is accumulating log files file extension is*.log and they are not clearing. For instance, over the past 20 days I have accumulated over 600 files totaling over 100 megabytes. Before I noticed the issue my PC had accumulated well over a thousand files. I deleted the files manually. I assume these are temp files as they are in the temp folder? Why are they not clearing?There are two flavors of files both with the nomenclature [My Machine ID]-[YYYYMMDD]-[NNNN] totaling around 50k each 100’s of these or totaling over 500K each dozens of these.     Saves log files ?

    You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

    Download CCcleaner from here...........

    CCleaner Professional | Try the world’s most trusted PC cleaner, free!

    You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.

    Hey all,

    Has anyone used the log file with powershell? I am looking to parse the log file but it is not being friendly. I save the log file as an XML and/or CSV but it doesn't really format the data correctly.

    Location of GPU-Z log files?

    QUESTION: Where are those log files anyway?
    I have GPU-Z (version 0.7.1) set to create them, but can't seem to find them - where are they, in which folder? What is/are the file name(s)?

    Using Windows 7 64-bit, Ultimate, SP1 + all updates installed. Windows UAC is on, and GPU-Z running with Admin rights. If that matters, my videocard is an Nvidia GeForce GTX 670.

    EDIT: Scratch that, found it. I had to uncheck then check the Log to file checkbox, and then was able to find the log file. Was kind of hard and non-intuitive, as I have lots of HDDs/2 SSDs.

    Mods, feel free to delete or lock this thread if deemed necessary.
