Windows 10: Windows Temp folders keep increasing causing C drive low in space on Windows 10

I have few Windows 10 Pro system which encountered windows Temp folders keep increasing causing C drive low in space.



I have done the following.

- deleted all contents in Windows \ temp.
- stopped windows event log service set and manual.

- Browse to User Configuration > Administrative Templartes > Windows Components > Store.

- Enable Turn off the Store application.

- Open regedit.exe.

- Browse to HKLM \ System \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ AppXSvc.

- Change Start to 4.


But next day, it will still automatically increase in windows \ temp folder.


Any solution?

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

 

I created one temp folder and windows 10 deleted this folder automatically!

for today was G:\temp\

I have C (windows drive), E, F, and G drives and I always created temp folders in G and subdirectories of it. I decided to create temp folders on other drives and other subdirectories for check domain of this problem

but know this problem happen in something like monthly cycles. the last thing I can say it's my drive free space is low ( <10% ) and think windows trying to free up this space for me :/
