  1. Windows Ten and the Revenge of Oculus

Hello all, and thank you for listening to my tale.

We began three weeks ago, with my purchase of an Oculus Quest 2. I was beyond excited to soar amongst the clouds in Microsoft’s flight sim. I could almost feel the rush of battle and hear my auto cannons firing in Elite Dangerous.

With the vital linking tether acquired, I moved to install the final piece of the VR digital setup that is Oculus Home.

    Installation failed. Please restart computer.

Okay, no worries. I restarted and retried. Installation failed. Please restart computer. Uh oh. To the forums I went. Reddit, windows support, oculus support. I disabled firewalls, graphics and audio enhancement, I deleted oculus data from registries and obliterated it’s data in my drives.

    Installation failed. Please restart computer.

It taunted me. This simple final component, so close yet so far. Finally in a desperate maneuver, I created a back up of my terabyte of data, and installed a fresh version of windows 10.

I reattempted the install and finally tasted sweet success. The program installed and I completed setup.

To restore the rest of my programs I implemented my backup. It overwrote the oculus software and the iteration of windows.

    Installation failed. Please restart computer.

My compatriots, please help me find a way to install the oculus software on a clean version of windows and then reimplement my backup without overwriting the new software. I cannot be defeated by Oculus.

  3. zuma revenge game

    Hi,

A corrupted game content may cause issues in launching Zuma's Revenge on your computer. To remove the file corruption, you need to make sure that the game is updated. You may go to this

    link
and follow the steps on how to check and install new game updates from Windows Store.

If you are still experiencing the same issue, you can perform the suggested solutions below:

Solution 1. Perform a clean boot to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update
or when you run a program in Windows 10. You can go to this link and
follow the steps perform a clean boot.

Solution 2. Reset the game from the Settings menu. This process can help restore corrupted game installation files.

    • Press the Windows key on your keyboard, and then click the Settings icon.
    • Select System, and then select Apps & features.
    • Find the game, and then click on Advanced options.
    • Click Reset.
    • Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

    Solution 3. Remove temporary files.

Temporary files are automatically deleted after exiting an application or a game. However, restarting your computer without exiting an active Windows session won't delete temporary files. These files may cause issues running
    games on Windows 10.

    • Press the Windows key on your keyboard, and then click the Settings icon.
    • Select System, and then select Storage.
    • Select This PC and click on Temporary files.
    • Select Temporary files.
    • Click Remove files.
    • Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

If you need further assistance, you can reply to this post anytime.

  4. Windows Ten and the Revenge of Oculus

Windows 10 and Oculus / VR Headsets

Will Windows 10 have proper support for VR Devices, so that you can look at your desktop or a 2D Non-Stereo Application without going cross-eyed ?

I can imagine that Microsoft is passing that buck to Oculus, and Quite Possibly Occulus to Microsoft. But the bottom line exists that dealing with a VR Headset is a Headache in Windows 7, and even so in Windows 8.1, with Holo-Lens on the horizon, and Oculus
Streaming from XBoxOne it's time for Microsoft to step up and bring their OS into the future.
