Windows Time is wrong after startup.

Hi guys, wondering if anyone else is having this issue and need help fixing it.

I just recently installed the update (10586.164), and now after I do a cold boot "Fast Startup enabled" it will show the date and time "from the the I shut the PC down last.". If I have my computer connected to the internet, it will auto sync, but if not, I have to keep connecting to the internet, or, manually set the time.

I was afraid my system timer was dying while computer was shut down, however, during cold boot, I would hurry up and go into the UEFI BIOS to see if it shows the correct time, and yes it's showing the correct date and time.

At this point, I have disabled Fast startup, and the date and time have been reading correctly in Windows. I'm quite disappointed, as I didn't have this issue before, and it's quite annoying.

My wife's computer doesn't have this issue. She is at 10586.122, so I'm not going to update hers for the fear of the time issue during fast startup.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

    :)

  2. computer is setting to wrong time zone after installing win 10 Creators edition on an Acer laptop.

Just changed to manual setting and forgetting the automatic for the time being. I would like to remove the original question that I posted, but can't figure out how to do that. If an admin sees this feel free to eliminate the original question.

    Hello,

May we know if you have set additional clocks with different time zones on your device?

You may set your time and time zone manually through Settings:

    • Click the Start button, then select Settings
      > Time & language.
    • Click Additional date, time, & regional settings.
    • Click Set the time and date to set the time.
    • Click Change the time zone to change the time zone of your device.

    Regards.

  4. Windows Time is wrong after startup.

I am on fast start up and I have 10586.164 and my time and date show the right time even from cold start
I am set to Lisbon, London Paris time
So all I can think off is somehow your location is messing around

I had my computer off for 5 days. It's been off since March 20, and when I booted it up, it still said March 20.

Yeah I notice the location icon popping up in my taskbar even when I'm not connected to the internet.

I'm doing a test to see if this helps. Since it worked fine on normal startup, I decided to delete the hiberfil.sys, recreate it and re-enable fast startup. So far it's keeping the correct time now.

Yesterday I shut the computer down at 2:30 PM, went to work, got home at 4 AM, computer was still saying 2:30 p.m. March 25, 2016.

So far it's working OK now, but won't mark it as solved yet as I want to make sure that was the issue.
