Windows 10: Windows tool bar "sound"icon stopped working

Hello, i recently connected an old tv to my Nvidia GTX 1660 super GPU1HDMI & 3DP to one of my display ports as an additional screen and the sound icon as the title explains stopped working to swap audio sources as anything i would plug in would appear on the list but this is my first display port connected device that has speakers. it's not left clickable or right clickable & i had to go into the system settings to manually swap to my much better normal speaker output, thought maybe it was a "if i restart my pc it'll probably fix itself" did that and the icon is just sorta there, the

Disable beep sound when plugging/unplugging laptop charger

I would suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps.

Disable the PC Speakers and check if it helps.

• Right click on Sound Icon in the task bar and go to Playback devices.
  
• Select Speaker and click on properties.
  
• Go to Levels tab, and mute (or you can reduce it) PC Speaker and check if it helps.

• Type and select Troubleshooting on the Search bar/Cortana.
• Click Hardware and Sound.
• Select Playing Audio under Sound.
• Follow the steps that will be provided.

If the steps does not work. We suggest downloading a fresh copy of the audio driver from Realtek and see if it helps.

Sound Bar Needed

Sound bars have there place. Not every wall can handle a full system. They do a pretty good job at separation now. Its just not cheap. Curious what BumbleBee might suggest
