  1. Windows troubleshoot says password is wrong when it is not.

Recently, whenever I try to boot up my computer, I see a black screen with a loading cursor. Whenever I try to restore my PC to a previous date, it makes me enter my password. Whenever I enter my correct password that I have been able to use for logging into my account, it says it's incorrect. I have even reset my password, and it still says it is incorrect.

    :)

  2. New FF - passwords

    Hi:

If that setting is already enabled, then I suggest as the next troubleshooting step might be Mozilla Safe Mode (not to be confused with Windows Safe Mode)):

Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode | Firefox Help

    • Please report back and let us know the outcome, as it will dictate the next steps.
    • Also: please tell us what AV/AM/firewall programs are you running on this system?

    Thanks,
    MM

  3. Windows 10 infinite restart black screen

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

    Wrong Password

The "Old Password" is the password to your local account. It is about to change your local account to a Microsoft Account. If you don't mind this, then enter your local account password. If you think this is overly intrusive of Microsoft, don't do it and let Cortana die.
