Windows 10: Windows unable to restore

Hello


My computer went into the repairing loop so I created an installation media from the windows website.


When I pluck in the installation media, I am stuck on a blue screen. When I first tried the installation media, I managed to enter the screen to repair windows but It got stuck on Preparing to Repair again so I restarted the computer. I have tried to turn on and off 3 times to enter the Windows Repair screen and tried to restore to a previous version but it fails every time.


Steps that I have tried:


I have created a new installation media already and tried with that as well.


Restarted 3 times to enter the repair screen.


Any assistance would be appreciated

Windows XP PRO error after restore

System restore is handy when it works like it did for me 2 days ago saving the need to reinstall all of my software as well as windows, id suggest using norton Ghost 12 for an excellent system restore feature.

 

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect


In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.

1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination
   
   
   
4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
5. Boot up with your new HD.

 

Unable to restore or resize windows now

Suggest you to boot the PC in a clean boot state to check if that helps. A clean boot step will help us determine if any 3rd party service or application is causing this issue.
