Windows 10: Windows unable to update after switching OS from SSD to HDD.

Hi, recently my laptop was having issues with the SSD so as a temporary solution I decided to move my copy of Windows to the HDD until I could get my laptop fixed. Since I've moved the Windows to an HDD, it has not been able to install a single Windows Update on my laptop as whenever I download it and install it. It fails and redirects me to the BIOS Setup and whenever I then restart my computer, it says "undoing changes". This loop has been going on since.

OS on new SSD, keep existing data on HDD and use as external drive

Hi,

use steps you suggested, there should be no problem.

Just replace HDD with SSD first then run installation. Do not forget to remove Windows files from HDD after the end of a process.

Actually i had cloned my ssd to hdd and it was booting perfectly from hdd .But after that i had formatted my ssd and it stopped booting from hdd.Then i install windows again on ssd and created
dual boot using easy bcd.Now it is booting perfectly from HDD and SSD but if i remove os from ssd then it stops working.But i don't want os on ssd and it should boot only from hdd.So what should i do ?

 

Transfer of licenced OS from HDD to SSD

I have recently purchased an SSD. Originally windows was installed in HDD. Now I want to transfer the OS from HDD to SSD. Will I lose my LICENSED version of windows, if I do this? And it is mentioned in settings that my windows is activated with the help
of digital license key. Where to find that digital license and how to transfer OS from HDD to SSD?
