Windows 10: Windows Update 10 20H2 is taking so long

Hi, my laptop is currently on Windows10 20H2 update it keeps going back to installing and it goes back to 0% and installing again. It has said it has failed to update. When I ran the troubleshooter it said it can't detect any issues. Why is it taking so long.

Although, I checked my notifications, I don't know if this has anything to do with it. But it says in the Notifications that some Colour thing has been installed into the Microsoft apps. I really don't know if that has anything to do with the updates.

It's getting really annoying. I have school work to complete and I don't want to damage it. I had done a restart before and it says all my updates are checked an up to date. My laptop is heating up because of this long update.

windows 20h2 takes 73 minutes to boot

so when i update to 20h2 it take 73 mins to boot like it shouldnt even take that long somebody help me please im trying to do my school on it

20H2 should not be installed right-away on your device - MS said the rollout is only to a fraction of users and would be labeled as an optional update initially. Are you enrolled in WIP?

You may uninstall 20H2 using the steps below:

Well that's why I asked. Mine is on SSD and takes 11 seconds. Your list of games will not appear if it has not checkd for updated suggested settings for awhile until it checks.

When it says it is refreshing the game list, it is checking, because NVIDIA periodically updates suggested settings. Plus it will look for those for new games you have installed.

So, the less it is run, the slower it will be.
