Windows 10: Windows Update 1903 got stuck at 71%

I am running Windows 10 and Windows Update writes (directly translated from my language (Swedish) to English):

"Functional update for Windows 10, version 1903
Status: Preparing some things - 71%"

I have tried it multiple times and it has been hanging there for many hours now. How can I get this update into my system? I guess it is preventing other updates from being installed too, which is a security issue.

Working on updates stuck @ 71%

I installed the windows 10 creator update last week with no problems. A few days ago, I opened my laptop and had a "working on updates" screen. It was stuck at 79% for several hours. Google results told me to Ctl-Alt-Del, but nothing happened. I forced
shut down, same thing, but this time it got to 83%. Forced shut down again, back to 79% and then stuck. I let the battery run all the way down, disconnected the internet and tried again. Now stuck at 71%. I can't try anything else suggested here or on the
internet because I can't get anything but that screen. Any suggestions?

Windows 10 build 10240. How can I get past 71%?

Update! Ok, found a workaround, retried updates, they started at 45%, jumped to 71% and stuck again with this message...
