Windows 10: windows update 19042.928 caused windows explorer arrows to quit in photos

My computer updated to Windows Home version 20H2, OS 19042.928 April 24, 2021. Now when I open windows explorer, photos, and a folder, I double click on a photo and I can't get the previous and next arrows on the screen to advance photos. No arrows on the screen.If I open the Photos App, I can see arrows. I don't want to use that app, I want to use windows explorer. When I open default programs, I have the option to open photos with the ;hotos app only. I don't see windows explorer. When I open individual extensions defaults, I see Photos app and paint etc..

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

are you running IE7? if not that wouold be my first suggestion,upgrade to ie7 that can fix some stability issues with windows explorer

The thing is, I have a very annoying problem with the Windows Explorer: It crashes. Quite often and quite random. I have NO idea what the problem is, and I've searched the computer for viruses, trojans and everything, but there is nothing I can find.

So, I decided to drop it and use something else. Any suggestions? It must be easy to use, of course. *Stick Out Tongue
