    Windows Update 20H2 - Rolled back and then issues


    I have a Windows 10 Home Version 1909 on an old desktop PC.

    On March 9th, the Windows tried to update itself to version 20H2, but by some reason didn't manage to, and then rolled back to version 1909.

    Since this rolled-back update my wi-fi dongles have given several problems.

    The Realtek RTL8187B 802.11b/g 54Mbps USB 2.0 doesn't detect any network...

    The Realtek 8812BU LAN 802.11ac can't connect to some networks... Says: Can't connect


    Any hint to solve these problems?

    Why 20H2 rolled back? When can I install this update?

    I am Sumit, an Independent Advisor and a 3 year Windows Insider MVP here to help.

    20H2 should not be installed right-away on your device - MS said the rollout is only to a fraction of users and would be labeled as an optional update initially. Are you enrolled in WIP?

    You may uninstall 20H2 using the steps below:

    Definitely not an issue with the Windows Servers as I just re-installed yesterday and got all my updates.
