Windows Update allows pin entry on all devices?

I have my account set up on multiple devices including my personal laptop computer and my family shared desktop computer. With the latest Windows update, anyone who knows the PIN for my account can now log into my personal laptop I originally used a password, but the password can now be bypassed by entering the PIN. Is it possible to change the PIN on my laptop to be different from the PIN on the shared desktop without removing my account as administrator on the desktop? My family has been using this account on the desktop for over a year as the general log in and it is fully set up with gam

  4. Windows Update allows pin entry on all devices?

Am I getting the most out of my SSD?

    Step 1
Press "Windows-X" in Windows 8, and then select "Device Manager." In Windows 7 or Vista, click the "Start" button, type "device manager" into the search box, and then press "Enter."

    Step 2
Click the arrow next to "IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers" to display the list of controller drivers currently used by your system.

    Step 3
Check for an entry that contains the acronym "AHCI." If an entry exists, and there is no yellow exclamation mark or red "X" over it, then AHCI mode is properly enabled. If you don't see an "AHCI" entry, or the only entry contains a red or yellow mark, then there's a problem and AHCI mode is not properly enabled.
