Windows 10: Windows Update Aug 2020 Temp Profile Created Cant Access My Stuff

This is ridiculous. Update came through and its ****. I am not computer illiterate, I can see my documents/pictures are still on the computer but changes were made in update so a temporary profile comes up with nothing saved and all things pointing to using Edge, and signing into Onedrive for my documents/saved items. Does this make sense?


I am unsure how to get everything back and saved so my family can use the computer. Microsoft Store is not opening, so my apps I've downloaded will not work and I cannot re-download just to get by. I've paid the Microsoft 365 subscription but my settings, documents, passwords, bookmarks are gone.


I am a gmail, Google chrome user. My computer is newer HP. I've already gone into settings and looked for an update to see if Microsoft made a patch or fixed. I've re-booted more than 10 times in the last 24 hours. I need this computer to function as it should for the first week of freaking school. I am close to putting everything on my external hard drive and re-setting computer to how it came out of the box but pretty sure that would not fix the problem. I am unsure this is even a place for help or a resource.

Windows temp profile

Hi..

I am facing the problem of temp profile login. I followed few steps stated in the websites like removing .bak from your SID. but it doesn't work. Still my profile is logging in to temp profile.

Please do suggest some solution

Temp profiles keep getting created with auto updates

I did both steps. With 1st one the problem for File Explorer got fixed. Thanks

But even after step 2 its creating and signing in with temp profile. Is there anything else to check / fix / workaround?
