Windows 10: Windows update broke CD key validity

*Note*This is on my wife's laptop, I am helping her trying to get it fixed.On Monday December 30th, I updated my windows 11 pro. It took very long to do. Once it finished my windows said it was no longer active despite the key previously working before the update. I attempted to re-enter the key by clicking on the 'change' button. It then came back

so my windows XP media center cd that came with my laptop broke, and now my laptop needs to be totally reinstalled with windows thanks to a virus, anyone know where i can get a new cd, hp wants me to pay for one but my laptop has the windows product key on the bottom

Method 1: Try updating the Video card drivers and check if it helps.



Follow the steps to update the Video card driver:

• Press Windows Key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Expand ‘Display Adapters’.
• Right-click on the Video card listed and click on ‘Update Driver Software’.

Method 2: Try installing the game in Compatibility mode and check.



Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode:

• Right click the Game setup file and select Properties then tap or click the Compatibility tab.
• Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.
• Tap or click the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then tap or click OK.
• Try installing the Game and check.

  Press Windows key + X.
  
• 
  Click file explorer from the list.
  
• 
  Select the CD/DVD drive and hit Enter.
  
• 
  Select the files you want to copy from the CD/DVD, then select the drive where you want to paste or save.
