Windows 10: Windows Update can't be done due to 0x8000ffff error!

Windows specifications:


Edition: Windows 10 Home

Version: 2004

OS build: 19041.508

Experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.31.0


Error:

2020-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 2004 for x64-based Systems KB4579311

Status: Download error - 0x8000ffff

To fix the issue, I tried to run "TroubleShooter_kb8000ffff.exe".

When I open the troubleshooter and click "Apply Fix", it requires to install .NET Framework 3.5.

During the .NET Framework 3.5 installation, I got the error code: 0x80070002 and couldn't finish the .NET Framework 3.5 installation.

I'm having many issues with my Windows 10.

- Crashing and rebooting the system while working

- Chrome and Firefox keep crashing

- Skype and Slack keep crashing

- Franz application is not opening

...etc


I think all those issues are related to .NET Framework 3.5 and Windows Update.

Please help me with them.

Windows Update Error 0x8000ffff

I tried all the suggested steps and still got Error 0x8000ffff

 

WIndows Store Error 0x8000FFFF

Hi. Step 1 didnt help and step 2 can't be executed - "Uninstall" can't be selected. When i get the error code 0x8000FFFF, i am asked to refresh the page. When i click "refresh...", an "update now" message appears. And when i press this, the updating message
appears and the downloading progress. After that, i get this message: "Error, see details". When i press this, nothing happens and Windows store just closes.

this is rather frustrating since i'm performing this on a new windows laptop. I've tried the powershell method, wsreset.exe, etc. but nothing worked.

Update: i changed my dns settings to Google's public dns. My Store has updated and is now running.
