Windows 10: Windows update creates chaos - needs to be reinstalled?

I got my new computer on Friday - this morning I did the update and now Windows doesn't load - tried restarting as recommended, tried turning it off as recommended, can't reinstall Windows without my computer guru because I'm not a computer expert. You had one job guys - you knew the updates caused problems because you put out a patch - and yet here I am unable to do the work I need to do because you don't care about your end user. How about some help for the "haven't got a clue" crew like me?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Windows updates won't install!

I had the same problem when i repaired my O/S, i forgot the steps on how to fixed it, but it is in the microsoft support forum.

You have to reinstall the windows updater, then restart the updating service.
