Windows Deleted all my files and replaced them with link shortcuts to one drive that are corrupt. I have searched over and over on my onedrive and the files are not there.It is as if during an update windows tried to transfer files to my onedrive but was not successful now all my files are gone!

Thank you for reply, but that tutorial has nothing to do with my problem. I have file explorer pinned to taskbar. Right click that and I get a list of file links. Each when right clicked has the option to unpin, but it doesn't. I can add another shortcut to that list,. but cannot delete the original.

C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.
