Windows 10: Windows Update Deleted My Main Profile.

Hey guys. Any type of help would be appreciated. I really hope there is something I can do.
So lately, my laptop has been getting a lot of blue screens, so I thought there might be some issues with my drivers. I also decided to update to the latest Windows 10 Version 2004. My computer froze while updating and had a black screen with circles that stopped moving. I waited the whole entire day, but it seemed to do nothing, so I decided to restart the laptop. Error Code: 0xc1900101 Then it had an issue. It loaded up my computer in a temporary profile. So I thought that reupdating to Windows 10 Version in the temporary account might fix that issue. However, same thing happened again. I had to restart and now the pre-existing profile is replaced with my temporary profile.
I tried to back up the files through EaseUs Data Recovery Wizard. However, it seemed to not find almost any of my files. It seemed to find some files in my deleted profile. However, to recover all my files, I would have to pay for the program. I don't even know if the files are corrupt or not. Would there be any other way to get my files back? I've also tried seeing Windows.old directory but there is nothing there. Thanks guys.

Dual display in main window for SLI/Crossfire

W1z,

First of all, I want to thank you for writing such an excellent tool.

After using it for few days, I would like to make a suggestion or two, if you agree that they would be useful.

Would it be possible to move the 'Use Device' list box to the main window, or even better, display the clock settings for both cards on the main window if SLI/Crossfire are enabled?

Also, adding the ability to save both cards clock/fan settings in a single profile would be a welcome addition so that both cards can be OC'ed on startup.

Win10 Deleted My Profle - How do I Recover it?


It's possible that your main account is disabled (not deleted), follow these steps to activate your main account:

1. Press the Windows logo key + X and then select "Command Prompt (Admin)".
2. Type the following command, replacing mufaa with the name of your main account: Code:

   net user mufaa  /active:yes

 

Lost default photo viewer after profile rebuild

Thanks Brink. I've tried those steps before i started searching Google. After the profile rebuild i don't have the Photo app listed to choose to make it default in either the system settings for default apps or the Open With option.

I can't even find it doing a search. Seems to have been removed somehow with the profile rebuild, which doesn't make sense.

Might be helpful to list what i've done I've done the open with check, the choose default program in the system menu, tried that in device manager default programs also. I've checked the programs and features Turn windows features on/off and it's not listed there (never thought it was but that was a suggestion), searched the MS Store, it's not listed there either.

I don't like playing in the registry unless i have defined steps and haven't found anything for this yet, just the Win7 version like in my OP.
