Windows 10: Windows update displays the button to download but nothing happen by pushing it.

To put it simply, please look this gif.




I can't download any programs so I can't update.


I viewed the windows update log created by Get-WindowsUpdateLog but I couldn't get the cause.


Next, I tried wu10.diagcab.

This tool told me there was the error against BITS service was active already.

So I tried reset windows update client and rebooted my PC, but it was not resolved.


How can I fix this?

Please let me know the way of resolving this.

I don't want to initialize my PC as soon as possible if possible.

To stop the download, uninstall the KB3035583 update (under "Control Panel > Windows Update > Installed Updates").


To get rid of the C:\$Windows.~BT folder:

• Right-click on your C: drive.
• Select "Properties".
• Click on [ Disk Cleanup ]
• After the initial scan: If you have a [ Clean up system files ] button, click it and wait for the second scan to finish.
• Scroll down the list and look for "Temporary Windows installation files" (its size should be in the gigabytes range); check the box.
• Click on [ OK ] to start the clean-up.

^This, then reboot and go to manually update windows. Find KB3035583 in the list of available updates, right-click and "Hide this update" so it doesn't get installed again next go around.

To turn off windows updates in windows 7 follow these steps:

Click the start button, in the search box type in 'windows updates', click on 'windows update'
in the search results list, in the left side of the windows update window click 'change settings'
then in the option bar select 'Never check for updates'.
