I've run into trouble using Windows Update on my Windows To Go. It tries to install KB5026361 2023-05 Update for Windows 10 20H2 but always ends up throwing an error 0x80070643. I have tried every solution suggested on this forum but nothing solves the issue. I'm slowly getting desperate ...

Usual fix for that is an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all progs and data like any 'upgrade' procedure.

I seem to recall that was suggested in your previous thread.

Tutorial available, and I've posted a 4 step short-form procedure many many times.

Were you to search tenforums for 0x800f0831 you might find e.g.

Im having an error on installing windows update. I tried the manaully installed microsoft catalog but still it doesnt install the package.

I keep getting error message (0x800f0831).

What am I supposed to do with this.

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800F0831: 2023-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5026361).
