Windows 10: Windows Update Error 0x80071a91

Hey all. I've had this problem for quite a while and my computer has been slowed to a crawl ever since, especially during startup. I've had these 3 pending updates that always end up in an error. The error is also preventing me from resetting my PC, which I've tried to do about 4 times now. I would get the error dialog box and then the reset would be completely reverted. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a picture of the errors shown when I try to install the updates.

Hello all,

Sorry if I am posting this thread in the wrong forum, but I have been trying to fix this problem for over a month now.

So, I have windows 10 installed on my desktop and for over a month now I am not able to install any updates in this PC, I always get the same error:
error 0x80071A91.

I have tried a lot of suggestions which I found through different forums and microsoft forums also, but with no luck..

If the issue still persists,

Step 2: I suggest you to
run the Windows Update troubleshooter and check.

Windows Update Troubleshooter resolves problems that prevents you from updating windows.

Steps:

• Press Windows key and type
  Troubleshooting.
• Click on Troubleshooting and click on
  View all in the left pane.
• Select Windows Update to run theWindows Update Troubleshooter
  and follow the on-screen instructions.

If the issue still persists then,

Method 2: I suggest you to try the steps mentioned in
Reset Windows Update components
and check if you are able to find the Windows Updates.
