Windows 10: Windows Update - error 0x800f0831 and 0x80242008

Hi, it's been a month now i can't do any windows update necessary nor optional quality updates.How to fix this?

Error When Trying to Install Update (0x800f0831)

So I am trying to install an update but get the above error message (0x800f0831) is the error code

When I look up, it says this is a cumulative update, meaning it needs a prev update first.

OK, smart windows, what do I search for next? which one does it need? any clues atleast?

Here is what I found on google; - but the question is, what update # do I search for in the microsoft update catalog?

Resolution

To fix the issue, follow these steps:

1. Go to Microsoft Update Catalog.
   
2. In the Search box, enter the package ID of the <Missing_Package>.
   
3. Download the package and then install it.
   
4. Reinstall the <Failed_Package>.
