Windows 10: Windows Update error 0x800f0922 for Cumulative Update 2024-05 KB5037768

I am getting the error 0x800f0922 for every Cumulative Update on Windows 10 Pro 22H2 for the past 4 months.I tried many suggestions so far linked below, including resizing the recovery partition, toggling a bunch of services, reinstalling Edge, and running the wupdate troubleshooter.Windows Update Error 0x800f0922 - Microsoft Community“We couldn’t update system reserved partition” error installing Windows 10 - Microsoft SupportIn all the other threads like this, "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log" seems to contain the key to what the actual error is, so I'm uploading the entire CBS folder here s

Unable to update (KB5037768) - Error 0x800f0922

I have been unable to install the latest update. I get prompted to reboot and it tries to update but fails and gives me the message "We couldn't complete the updates Undoing changes".

The windows update page shows:

2024-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5037768) - Error 0x800f0922

I've followed some steps like deleting the update and downloading again but doesn't solve the issue. Troubleshooter also cannot find any problems. Can someone please help getting this resolved? Thank you.

 

Cumulative updates for Windows - May 2024

We have multiple Windows 10 22H2 workstations that do not detect 2024-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5037768). If you run the Windows update list in powershell or click "Check for updates" we see the following:

KB5037771 134GB Windows 11, version 23H2

The KB listed appears to be related to the 2024-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 11. Why is this appearing on a Windows 10 machine and why won't the Windows 10 machine detect 2024-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5037768)? We have attempted the Windows Update reset script on affected already without resolution to this issue.

 

Windows Update error 0x800f0922

I get this error code: 0x800f0922. The update downloads and installs, but when I restart, it says it can't complete the update and rolls back the changes. (It is 2024-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5037768))

I've tried all the solutions listed in this post. Plus ones listed in the current thread.

How should I share the logs - put them in Dropbox/Googledrive and share the folder?
