Windows 10: Windows Update error code 0x8007007e.

When I try to install Windows Update I encounter an error saying "There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: 0x8007007e" This has been an issue for me for the last 3 months. I've tried to fix this error many times but I couldn't.

windows 10 microsoft security update error code 0x8007007e

I keep getting the window to have security updates for Microsoft but every time I go to install it gives me the error code 0x8007007e and I cant find anything to help fix it. in my update history it keeps listing failed installations of 'update for windows
10 version 1607 for x64-based systems (KB4049411) - Error 0x8000ffff' or 'update for windows 10 version 1607 for x64-based systems (KB4033631) - Error 0x8000ffff' and 'feature update to windows 10, version 1709 - Error 0x8007007e

........please tell me how I can fix this. its incredibly frustrating.
