Windows 10: Windows update error code 0x800f020b

When I run update I see very very briefly some updates then an error comes up with this code.I have run trouble shooters restarted etc it wont go away. Troubleshooter says it could not find an issue.I tried reinstalling firmware from them option updates with no change.I have searched this and there seems to be plenty of people having the issue in relation to HP printer drivers. I have never plugged or connected to an hp printer but it is a hp laptop.

Windows Update 0x800f020b Error


When I run Windows Update on Windows 10 (ver 1511), I get the following error:

Hewlett-Packard - Imaging - Null Print - HP Deskjet 3520 series - Error 0x800f020b

I looked up the 0x800f020b error code and it says this occurs when an attempt is made to update drivers for a device that isn't connected. In my particular case, this device is connected via the wireless network and appears in my list of available Printers.

How do I get rid of this error?

I have a Surface 4 Pro with Windows 10. Since machine is not on most of the time, I usually try to check Windows updates every few days. Ever since the first attempt, have received the message that some updates failed. Specifically, the "Hewlett-Packard
- HP Photosmart 7520 series - Null Print - error 0x800f020b" comes up. It appears that other updates are able to download, but cannot seem to get this one fixed. I do have an HP7520 on the network, and it prints fine from the Surface machine.

Is there any way to get this particular item to download?

I have the same problem now, for many months. My printer is a wifi enable printer

There were problems installing some updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help:

Like the others, I too have tried the update troubleshooter, rebooted the computer, and various other remedies, to no avail
