Windows 10: Windows update error code 0x800f020b

I have installed a new printer and now I can't run an Windows update because of the above code. I have Windows 10. I have run Troubleshooter and it can't find anything to correct.Thank you

Windows Update 0x800f020b Error


When I run Windows Update on Windows 10 (ver 1511), I get the following error:

Hewlett-Packard - Imaging - Null Print - HP Deskjet 3520 series - Error 0x800f020b

I looked up the 0x800f020b error code and it says this occurs when an attempt is made to update drivers for a device that isn't connected. In my particular case, this device is connected via the wireless network and appears in my list of available Printers.

How do I get rid of this error?

I ended up with Fix Xerox error 0x800f020b in Windows Update, but this topic was really helpful for me to pinpoint the problem (in particular Masees fix)

I have a Surface 4 Pro with Windows 10. Since machine is not on most of the time, I usually try to check Windows updates every few days. Ever since the first attempt, have received the message that some updates failed. Specifically, the "Hewlett-Packard
- HP Photosmart 7520 series - Null Print - error 0x800f020b" comes up. It appears that other updates are able to download, but cannot seem to get this one fixed. I do have an HP7520 on the network, and it prints fine from the Surface machine.

Is there any way to get this particular item to download?
