Windows Update Error Loop: Missing/Broken DLL files are the cause "Is a Manual Fix Possible?"

I couldn't update my windows, so I tried EVERY possible fix on and of for years to no success and many breaks, granted I just stopped caring... until recently! I found a helpful video that allowed me to uncover the possibly main source of these errors, when trying to update my windows. Now I'm not sure where to go from here, but I refuse to to a complete reset, so I'm willing to do any work needed. *Oh also, System Configuration doesn't work at all, it just won't open no matter what I do, attempts to fix it just end up in roadblocks. 2. dll missing

    Hi Peter,

One of the reasons that may cause the missing DLL error are the files that was deleted due to a recent change on your device. For us to identify the root cause, we'd like to ask a few questions:

    • When are you getting this error?
    • Have you made any recent changes on your device prior to your concern?
    • What are the troubleshooting steps that you've performed to resolve your concern?

Meanwhile, we recommend that you run the SFC scan tool found on this
    link
as an initial step to replace missing DLL on your device.

We're looking forward to your response.

I couldn't update my windows, so I tried EVERY possible fix on and of for years to no success and many breaks, granted I just stopped caring... until recently! I found a helpful video that allowed me to uncover the (possibly main) source of these errors, when trying to update my windows. Now I'm not sure where to go from here, but I refuse to to a complete reset, so I'm willing to do any work needed.

*Oh also, System Configuration doesn't work at all, it just won't open no matter what I do, attempts to fix it just end up in roadblocks. When I try to view "Properties", within apps or even just by right clicking apps/folders to use the context menu, nothing ever seems to happen! Thank you for the screenshot, I see the problem, your version of Windows is 5 years out of date and all normal methods to update Windows will fail.

Try using the Windows 10 ISO to perform an in-place upgrade, if that fails, then a full clean install would be needed to bring your system up to date.

Please follow the steps, this is then not like re-installing Windows, it is just like an update and your personal files, settings and installed software will not be affected.

    Click this link:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

to download the Media Creation Tool (Click on Download Tool Now), with that you can download the latest Windows 10 ISO (Select Create Installation Media for Another PC), then choose ISO, not USB

When the ISO file completes downloading

    Disconnect from the Internet

Disconnect all external devices with the exception of a mouse or keyboard.

Temporarily disable any 3rd party Anti-virus you may have installed

Then, in Windows File Explorer, double click the ISO and then run Setup.exe and select the upgrade option.
