Windows 10: Windows Update Error Message 0x80070543

Ya Ya Ya, there's over a hundred threads like this, ...

Anyway, started getting this error message a few days ago, and done a lot of searching on this error message, apparently it's not, uncommon.

In particular, the (currently) 4 updates that are being affected are:

• Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3173428) - Error 0x80070543
• Security Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3172729) - Error 0x80070543
• Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3174060) - Error 0x80070543
• Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3176493) - Error 0x80070543

The actions I've taken to date are:

• Uninstalled firewall program (comodo)
• Uninstalled anti-virus (Avast)
• Reset the windows update catalog on local machine.

So the above errors are with the above done.

What other steps should I be taking to resolve the issue?

Below is notations for when I actually add to this thread.

• Attempted to use the troubleshooter, no dice.

Win 10 update still wont download

I have been getting this message ever since I upgraded to win 10 from 7, I have tried a few options given out here but none work.. ready to go back to Win 7. So annoying

Get at least 4 errors due to Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3173428).

• Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3174060) - Error 0x80070543

• Security Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3172729) - Error 0x80070543

• Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3173428) - Error 0x80070543

None of these seem to be exactly what is going on with others listed.

I have cleaned my registry. I have run the Windows Update trouble shooter and it says that it fixes something every time.

Problems found

Windows Update components must be repaired Fixed <GreenCheckMark>

I have also run the Background Intelligent Transfer Service and it says it fixed something one time (I believe). Nothing on repeat tries.

Windows Update always reports the same 4 errors.

in Settings, search for Troubleshooter; run the one for Windows updates.
Download Tweaking.com's cautious repair tool (free), select only Windows Updates (17).

At first trying to research on Google and fix the problem myself, most times successful but this time not, I waited a few weeks for a true fix to appear on Google. And my patience paid off, as I just happened upon THIS fix, and it worked! Thank you!
