Windows 10: Windows update fails: Appstore Fails

So i can connect to internet over realtek WAN card using ethernet to a BT router.Cannt use appstore or windows update. BITS/Crytogtaphy and update service runningSo far:Have reset Windows 10 to 21H1Have done SFC scanDSIM repairChkdskHave used trioubleshoot guide for BITSHave stopped BITS/windows update and cryptography services, changed cache folders to old and restarted teh servicesYou name it google it and I have tried it.All software can update including some windows componants like windows defender.The only things that cant are windows update and appstoreHave spent 2 days resetting PC/

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time

When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.
